Customer service engineer Ari Ervelius changes to building system development. His focus are technical customer service and development in building systems as well as technical support for transportation systems.
Sami Oksanen has been appointed sales engineer in building systems with focus on domestic and Baltic markets. Moreover, Sami will support export in building systems´sales.

24.4.2012 - SNEP Led Lighting System
The modular SNEP system is a new lighting solution that takes future demands into consideration. The system includes all what you need: a track, luminaires and intelligent lighting control. Jonas Söderström has been appointed 3.6.2011 project manager, responsible for component and profile sales to domestic and export markets.
He´s previous position was export manager in Nordic Aluminium Oyj.

Antti Pirttilahti (29) has been appointed Area Sales Manager in our Building systems unit. He is responsible for export sales to Nordic countries and Baltic countries. Antti has been working earlier as Sales Engineer at TT-Gaskets.

15.2.2011 – Purso Oy investing 10 million Euros into domestic Production
Purso Oy is about to build up a new anodizing plant at its home location in Siuro. At the center of the project are a new 4300sqm factory hall, a brand new state-of-the-art anodizing line as well as comprehensive waste water processing facilities which comply with the tightest of environmental regulations. The 10 million Euro investment shall be completed and production be ramped up at the beginning of 2012.

Ilkka Vainio (28), has been appointed salesman, responsible for sales of customized profiles. Ilkka has been working previously in different production duties at Purso Oy.

Purso Oy is donating the sum dedicated earlier to Christmas Cards to the local association for stroke and dysphasia patients, (Nokian Aivohalvaus- ja dysfasiayhdistys).

7.1.2010 – Appointments
Jussi Aro, M.Sc.(Eng) 43 years, has been appointed new Managing Director for Purso Oy. He has been working in many metal industry companies and presently he works as Managing Director for ThermiSol Insulation. He will take charge as Managing Director of Purso during March 2010.
Seppo Helin, M.Sc.(Eng) 55 years, has been appointed Technical Director for Purso Oy. He has worked previously in many leading positions at Nordic Aluminium Oyj. He starts working in Purso at 11th of January 2010 and reports to Managing Director.

1.11.2009 Jan Hauptner has been appointed area sales manager, responsible for export sales to German markets. Jan has been working earlier as a salesman in export department.

Purso celebrates its 50th anniversary
Purso Oy celebrates its 50 years anniversary in new premises in Siuro at 17th of September 2009. The company started its operations by surface treatment of aluminium with five employees in year 1959. Nowadays Purso’s production process includes production of aluminium profiles, which are mainly customised, and their further processing and surface treatment. Purso has also comprehensive building profile systems, which include e.g. facades, doors and windows. New extrusion line has been started up
Purso Oy has taken into production the new extrusion line which replaced the old extrusion line which was started up in year 1974.

Sales unit for customised profiles
Purso Oy has reviewed domestic sales strategy and as outcome the sales organisations for machined profiles and for standard and customised profiles have been integrated. New unit is called Sales of customised profiles and it is headed by marketing manager Veikko Sipiläinen from 1st of April 2009 onwards.

1.1.2009 – Change in Purso’s company structure
Purso’s business operations concerning aluminium profiles were transferred to wholly owned subsidiary, which continues aluminium profile business from beginning of year 2009 with the name of Purso Oy (new VAT registration number FI22380411). The name of the parent company was changed to Purso Group Oy at the same time.
All Purso’s present contracts with their rights and obligations in conncection with aluminium profile business were transferred to the new subsidiary at the same time. This internal change in Purso’s company structure has no effect to contact persons or other contact information.

Purso’s building systems have been granted two certificates of conformity
Purso has been granted the Russian GOST R certification and the Russian Federation construction industry voluntary certification. Purso has also been issued the right to use the mark of conformity.
